The 2007 Questions on Doctrine Conference: Kindness, Mysteries, Revelations, and Deceptions

For 113 years, Satan assiduously sought to destroy the very fiber of the Seventh-day Adventist faith. He possessed no doubt that God had raised up our church to bring to completion the work of His incomparable saving grace upon earth.

Major successes in his assault on “the one object of Christ’s supreme regard” were achieved by Satan in 1888, 1903, and 1919.

Various decisions taken in the first half of the 1930s opened up the roadway to what Satan hoped would be the utter annihilation of the church he abhors with the greatest hatred. In 1957, the book, Seventh-day Adventists Answer Questions on Doctrine, was published. Its inclusion of four cardinal errors to our faith—the proposed unfallen human nature of Christ, original sin, the completion of the atonement at the cross, and the diminution of the Spirit of Prophecy—was published with church authority.

These false doctrines brought our church into the milieu of ecumenicalism while derailing our pure and holy faith. The result has been disastrous, as every cardinal doctrine, every righteous standard, and every avenue of witness have been attacked with ferocity.

The title of this volume summarizes the techniques utilized to achieve this derailment. But God will not leave His truth undefended. In love He will complete His infinite plan of salvation. Faithful men and women stood up, spoke up, accepting persecution, as they held the light of truth aloft.

The authors document previously little-known details of deception and machinations, kept from the eyes of God’s people in the General Conference archives. This book, with the other five in this Sextet, is the most important of the many significant works of the authors. It will dismay many, yet it will fill the faithful with renewed dedication and hope.
